Screwy Calendar Sync Problem

OK,I'm about ready to pull my hair out. My desktop Outlook contains data imported from two iCal-compatible web calendars. The data all shows up correctly on the desktop. Most of the data - all day events, appointments, holidays, etc. - also shows up correctly on my Axim.

The problem is that there are a number of events that are "zero duration" - they were originally created with a start time but no end time. Outlook on the PC treats them as beginning and ending at the same time. That's fine and they show up correctly on the desktop calendar. On the Axim, however, they all show up one day later than they should. They are also converted into all-day events on the Axim.

My desktop and Axim have the same time zone settings, "automatically adjust for daylight savings" is checked on the desktop, and the Axim is set to local time. I've tried everything else I could think of, including a hard reset. The dates still showed up wrong on the clean Axim, before I did a restore.

Right now the only option appears to be manually adding an end time to each zero-duration event. Hopefully someone here has a better solution?

I have the same or very similar problem with respect to my MSN calendar that I manage through Outlook Connector on Outlook.

If I enter the event on my MSN calendar as an all day event, or as an event without and end time, it imports fine to my outlook calendar folder on my desktop PC. However, upon syncing, the Axim picks up the events showing them one day in the future.

I am baffled. I solved it by changing the all day events, placing a start and end time on each. This is not the ideal. If anyone has a solution, I would love to here about it. Thanks.

At least I'm not alone - but all-day events work for me, it's just the one that don't have an end time that are moved forward by a day.

Surely one of the gurus here has an idea??

OK, now here is something wierd. I posted earlier that I had the same problem on my X30H. Yesterday, I got an X50v and it is displaying everything correctly. I am going to closely examine both the 30 and the 50 settings to see if there is some small difference causing the problem.

Finally discovered the source of my problem from this article. Unfortunately the solution (individually importing appointments as separate .vcs files) leaves much to be desired.
