Stopping Add/Remove Programs from popping up automatically

This didn't happen for the first month and a half of owning my X50v, but now when I plop the unit into the cradle ActiveSync displays the Add/Remove Programs window on my PC. I cannot seem to find a setting that either stops or starts this process and I don't see anything in the Aximsite archives about it. So, all you ActiveSync experts.....

I'd just re-install. Unfortunately I'm not one of the Activesync experts.

It sounds as though AS is trying to install a programme that didn't install properly at some stage - what programme did you try to install just before it started happening - may be worth uninstalling it and reinstalling.

Also have a look at the add/remove programme list to see if anything is there that looks wrong.

Thanks, guys!! I don't see anything amiss in any of the program lists. I uninstalled the last couple of programs that were installed and might be the culprits, but no luck. Did a Soft reset too. Also, rebooted my pc. Interestingly, the first time I did that ActiveSync didn't load automatically as it is supposed to. Then my pc locked up. Sooooo, maybe I've got something going on there. I'll keep checking around. It's not that big of a problem really. Just a nuisance

BIG EDIT: Arrrgh!! I completely forgot that I installed AS on my home pc and installed ONE program from there just befor X-mas! I'll bet THAT is the problem. Sorry to waste your time Bobby and Rob.

Yep. Once I removed and reinstalled the ONE program installed at home, all went back to normal (that is, the machines went back to normal - not sure about me. )
