Calendar Sync Error: Batchwrite Error

Hello All,

I use Sun's SunOne Synchronization tool to sync my company's Iplanet Calendar system with the PPC calendar. I've been getting an error message when I sync that says "Error: BatchWrite Error"

I've done a hard reset. I've reinstalled the Sunone Sync. I want to troubleshoot the issue before I restore from a previous backup.

Does anyone know what a BatchWrite error is? I was thinking of blowing away the calendar on the handheld and starting over again...anyone know how to do that?

Thanks

Keith

I have an update on this one. Sun updated their "Sun One Synchronization" utility and renamed it the "Sun Java calendar Synchronization" I installed this new version and everything seemed to have worked correctly afterwards.

batchwrite error

I am getting the batchwrite error as well. I notice it is when I am synching with lotus notes R5. It looks like the process reads my Notes Calendar but when it writes to the pocket pc, I get the batchwrite error on the Axim.

Any ideas??

From my experience with this issue, it was the Sun Sync utility that was causing the error and not anything with the PPC. I'm not familiar with the Lotus app that you are using, but I would say start with reinstalling that applicaiton on your PC that syncs with the PPC. Also check for any updates to that particular Lotus app and/or any patches.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

Best of luck

Keith

Thanks for the help. I was able to download a more current version of lotus easysync (I was using 4.1 and downloaded 4.22)
and that cleared the issue.

Thanks again.

I came across this 2005 post and I am having a difficult time locating the Sun Java Calendar Synchronization program either on the Sun web site or doing Google searches. Can someone please send me the link to the program?

I am having difficulty getting a Dell Axim x51 to sync with SunOne. We have version 1.1 of SunOne Sync and it will not install on x51. I keep getting a error that it is too old and it will not install.

Please help!

John

I found the program on the Sun site and was able to install it. So now I am using the newest version of Sun Java Calendar Sync, however, with my Dell AXIM x51 it will not sync directly to the handheld. I received a error that the version is old and need to find a newer file/version.

Ideas?
