Birthdays
I have the birthday of many people in the CONTACT-list on my Axim X50v. Is there any possibility that I will be automatically reminded if anyone has birthday from the people in the CONTACT-list???
Or do I have to put the birthdays into the CALENDAR seperatly... ANY HELP OUT THERE????

I really doubt your contact list will remind you of birthdays. The calendar is quick and easy once you use it. I would enter them on your desktop and sync them to your PDA

Solution?
If the CONTACT-list (which offers a birthday field) is useless for reminding... is there any program that copies the birthdays automatically to the CALENDAR... or do I have to put them into the CALENDAR manually???
So the birthday-function in the CONTACT-list is really useless.... strange that the CONTACT-list isnt't connected automatically to the CALENDAR.... Anyone has a good solution?????

Actually, it should remind you. It does for me. And it's been a few months, but I don't remember setting up something special to get it to do this. And if I did, it would have been in Outlook, not on the Axim.
It should also remind you of anniversaries. Keep in mind that it does treat them as all-day events. And among other things, you will get a pop-up reminder of the event at the default reminder time, based on an 8am start time for an all day event. For me, that is 15 minutes. So I get the pop-up reminder at 7:45am that morning. Among the other things to keep in mind. No, it will not appear in weekly or monthly views. Just the day views. And I do not believe it will appear on the today screen list until the day of. If you want or need that extra reminder for someone's birthday, you'll need to set it yourself. But I think if you go looking ahead to the day of someone's birthday that's coming up in the calander, you should find it there already.

My contacts are setup this way and if you put a date in the Birthday section of the contact, it will remind you on that day. It works for me.

There is a freeware program out there I use for this on my X5. It is called Vasilenok's VBirthday and does not take my space at all. It reads the birthday and anniversary dates. I enter the data into outlook and sync to my PC ( I have never entered the dates directly into my X5 itself yet). It shows on the calendar in my month views. There is also a program icon in the program folder that when you press this, it lists the persons name, if it is a Bday or anniversary and it calculates how old they will be based on the dates you have entered. I have never set up a reminder alarm on it and not sure if you can but you can check that out yourself if you choose to try this.
I also have another freeware installed called Calendar+ which allows you to show dates/appointments etc up to 31 days in advance on your Today screen. You can also use this in conjunction with VBirthday.
