AS 3.8 = Good Stuff

I'm very happy with its performance so far--I installed it the day it was available.

Hey Dude:

You might be the person that can get me out of this nightmare. I have been having sync problem with my PPC and desktop (running XP)also. My e-mails and calendar sometimes duplicate on the PC and PPC. I also can't get MS Money 2005 PPC to sync. I consider myself to have excellent computer skills but this PPC is driving me crazy.

Bottom line: What registry did you clean and how?

Thanks.

MY update DID give me problems. Now that I think about I can't remember whether I uninstalled the old one first... I guess I'll just uninstall it and then REinstall.

After I uninstall, are there any registry entries I should delete??

Re-establish the Partnership

In installed 3.8. In order to sync, I had to re-establish a partnership under a new ID device. How can I re-establish using the previous ID? With the new ID, the programs, etc. are greyed out under the "add/delete" programs. This is so confusing!

it's the SD card. Take it out before putting the Axim in the cradle.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!

After deleteing and recreating partnerships too many times, even doing a hard reset, I had almost given up!!!!!

Active sync 8 NOT supported by AOL's intellisync

I found this out today. Microsoft's active sync 8.0 was just fine, then I tried to synch my AOL calendar and contacts via their Intellisync and here is where I found out it only supports up to and included active sync 7.

I also feel like AOL is double dipping by charging current members another $20.00 to check their email wirelessly on our PDA.

Here is my 'duh' question. When asked at Handango or Aol what version I have (Dell Axim 5X)
I went to start > settings > system > about > and it says:
Microsoft Pocket PC
Version 3.0.11171
But their choices of downloads were pocket pc 2002 or 2003 - okay where do I find out which version I have???? So remedial but I just cannot find it.
Thanks.

3.0.x = Pocket PC 2002
4.2.x = Windows Mobile 2003
Not sure about the WM 2003 SE version number

That said, looks like you want the Pocket PC 2002 version :)
