Font missing or corrupted?
Got my new X50v last week and played a lot with it, including installing and removing several applications. I guess somehow I managed to delete one of the system fonts so now the font of the Switcher Bar (not sure if this is what it called in the English Version, I have a German Axim) looks weird, see screenshot attached.
Does anybody know how this can be fixed (without a complete reinstallation of the Axim)? I already found out that the font called PIXEL.TTF seems to be the one used here, if I open this font on my desktop, it looks exactly like the one in the screenshot, I just don’t know how to change it back to something nice.
Any much appreciated.

Thanks

Frank

OK, I just fixed it myself: After doing a full backup and cold reset, I found out that there is no PIXEL.TTF by default, so I just restored everything and deleted the PIXEL.TTF. One more warm start and the ugly font is gone:

I guess I have to remember doing full backups before installing new software…

Regards

Frank

Didn't know that font caused problems with SwitcherBar. It also causes problems with SKTools and the built-in system info on my iPAQ.

It is part of WeatherPanel and their new mini text view. I don't know if it gets installed with anything else.

As you discovered, removing the font fixes the problem. In SKTools, you can set the font face. I just live with it in the system info applet because I think someday I may want to use the mini text view in WeatherPanle.

Do you have WeatherPanel installed or did you get it somewhere else?

yes, I have WeatherPanel installed, guess this is where I got it from. I' using WeatherPanel in Medium mode so it should be OK to have the font deleted. Thanks for letting me know where it came from.
