MSReader Activation problems -help?
I've been having hardware problems with my new x50v, and had to do a hard reset. I've restored my clean programs in the storage card and built-in storage, and that has solved some of the issues, but I tried to re-install MSReader, and activate... and I get a message "you have an older version that is not upgradable" "cannot activate"!! What I installed was a fresh downloaded 3.5 MSreader!! I cleared out all files, and cookies, as that had helped in earlier activation problems, but nothing helps now. I had a reformatted hard drive so that is clean too.
Anyone got any suggestions? I e-mailed MS but no joy there just silence. I have a lot of .lit books, and MSreader seems to come out clear with VGA (which is another issue).

It wants to be put in main memory then it will activate nicely. Ther's a work around but I don't know what it is.

I had the same problem. I assumed like you that I had just installed the latest version but I did what it asked and downloaded and installed it again. And like Don't Panic! said, make sure that you install it into the main memory.

I should mention that I have tried a number of other Readers and I prefer MS Reader by far.
