MSReader Activation problems -help?
I've been having hardware problems with my new x50v, and had to do a hard reset. I've restored my clean programs in the storage card and built-in storage, and that has solved some of the issues, but I tried to re-install MSReader, and activate... and I get a message "you have an older version that is not upgradable" "cannot activate"!! What I installed was a fresh downloaded 3.5 MSreader!! I cleared out all files, and cookies, as that had helped in earlier activation problems, but nothing helps now. I had a reformatted hard drive so that is clean too.
Anyone got any suggestions? I e-mailed MS but no joy there just silence. I have a lot of .lit books, and MSreader seems to come out clear with VGA (which is another issue). | |||||||||||

It wants to be put in main memory then it will activate nicely. Ther's a work around but I don't know what it is.

I had the same problem. I assumed like you that I had just installed the latest version but I did what it asked and downloaded and installed it again. And like Don't Panic! said, make sure that you install it into the main memory.
