Calling all Reg Hackers
I have successfully been able to find the reg key for specific Inputs(IPs) and copy the key value to Default SIP. Unfortunatly when I do this with te Transcriber key my X50v won't even boot? Forced to hard rset. Luckily I backup before each attempt. Why won't this work?

Dell X50v with BT LG325, Belkin GPS, 1GB 60x Kingmax SD, 1GB Lexar 32x CF, 512MB Lexar SD and 256MB Lexar SD, I wish they would'nt release these so often. Every time a new one comes out I make sure I get it!!!

This has been documented elsewhere but without a a full explanation as to why it doesn't work. This method does work for at least the default keyboard and character recognizer. You can find more tweaks HERE.

Tweaks2k2.net can apply registry hacks to set the default input method (there is a lite version out, not sure if it supports this). When I look under "Keyboard Tricks", it says: "Neither Transcriber or Calligrapher can be set as default input method by hacking the registry". So I guess it's a no-go.
