Pocket Outlook Help. Messages disappear
Hi,

I have configured a mail account in Pocket Outlook (directly, not using ActiveSync). The problem is that, when new messages arrive, the old ones disappear.

It seems as if I had "View non-read messages only" feature, but I can't figure out how to change it. This does not happen with Inboxes synchronized with ActiveSync.

Any help would be highly appreciated

When you check your email on the PocketPc it leaves the message on your web server. When you check your mail on your regular computer it does not leave the message on your web server. So, when you download your email to your regular computer and then check your mail on your PocketPC it knows you have the real message on your regular computer so it deletes it off of your PocketPC.

It is not possible!
Hi Installer,

what you say is impossible, as I created an account which is used only with the PocketPC, never from a PC.

It's a gmail account. First, I had gmail configured so that when messages were downloaded they were removed from the server and then I changed it to keep the messages in the server after downloading them via POP. In both cases, they disappear for Pocket Outlook. (in gmail you can configure this in the server, it's not a "Leave messages on server" client feature).

any ideas?
thanks!

Mine does this also. I could be wrong, but mine appears to follow the same rules I set up in Activesync for my inbox. "Copy messages from the last X days. Mine is set on 3 days and anyhting older than 3 days in my pop accounts dissapear on the PPC(though they remain on the server).

Well, in my case it is not related to the time in the inbox.
If I read an email, when I come back to Pocket Outlook it is no longer there... (even if it's after a minute)

I certainly did not try to purposefully mislead you. It took me a while to figure out why my email was disappearing. Mine seems to only disappear after I download the message using Outlook on my regular computer.

Maybe someone else will chime in with their opinion.

I use gmail and I've tried everything to fix this problem, but I can't. My messages from the previous download are always deleted when I send and recieve. I have it it set to download the entire message. When I have it set to download header plus xKB it leaves the messages in the inbox, but when I mark a message for download to retrieve the entire message, the same thing happens.

I usually hate work arounds, but I have found one that I don't mind. As soon as I recieve a message, I move it to another folder, and this solves the problem. It's also very easy to select muliple meaages by dragging the stylus, so it is not a big hassle.

Apart from this, I think pocket outlook is a teriffic program, hence why I am using this work around.

So if anybody know how to apply inbox rules (move all incoming messages to another folder) then the problem would be solved!!! Ideas anyone???
