Recycle Bin?
If a file is deleted (ex. Word doc), can it be retreived? Is it placed in a Recycle Bin?

There is no Recycle Bin equivalent in Windows Mobile. However, a program such as Advanced Explorer has one built in:

I installed the free trial version of Advanced Explorer. I see there is a Recycle Bin and a folder titled AERecycleBin. However, when I delete a file in Word, it does not show up in the Recycle Bin or the AERecycleBin folder. Why do I not see the deleted file in the Recycle Bin or the AERecycleBin folder? Does this feature only work on the free trial version?

Tap on File - Option - Delete. Make sure "Delete to recycle bin" is checked.
