Font misused on Owner Information screen?
Has anybody else had this problem?
I installed Greek and Hebrew fonts on my X50V (love it!) to run with a Bible reader program. The first time I started up my Dell, the Owner Information screen (screen with MY INFO on it) had Greek letters for MY INFO. The Bible reader program worked fine with both fonts. When I remove the fonts from WINDOWS/FONTS on the PDA, I get my English version back. If I install only Hebrew, I get Hebrew letters for MY INFO. 1. Any fixes on this? I theorize that the PDA grabs the first font alphabetically in the FONT directory.... since spEnglish comes before spGreek or spHebrew, I was thinking of finding an English font and installing it and seeing if this is so, but just curious if there are other fixes... thanks | |||

answered my own question -- workaround at least
I stuck the Arial ttf file 358K into my PDA Windows/Fonts directory, and as it is alphabetically earlier than Greek or Hebrew, my Owner Information screen now says my info again, instead of in Hebrew or Greek.....
