Getting rid of Recent Software

Quick question, is there a registry hack to remove the "recent software link" used in Windows Mobile 2003 SE Star menu ?

In 2003, it was simple icon and didn't take lot of space, but on 2003 SE, it's a real pain !

I tried Tweak2k2, but it only delete them. You need to run it 3 or 4 time by day to clear the list. is there an absolute solution ?

That has nothing to do with what he's talking about. It's not a program that he wants to remove it's a feature of a buitlt in program The Start Menu.

THe only way I know how to get rid of it is to switch to landscape mode and stay there all the time. It doesn't show up in landscape mode.

The latest version of SKTools does this. I highly recommend it! :)

Ultimately, there is no permanent way to do this. There is a folder in your registry that contains these entries - the same one that Tweaks2k2 deletes or empties. You can delete this registry folder, but then you must soft reset, and the registry entry is recreated and the recent programs start building all over again!

However you can create a direct shortcut to the registry entry that must be deleted so you can do it a little more quickly.

Tap the little guy to see the instructions!====> :rolling:

BTW, Wisbar Advance 2 will allow you to replace your Start Menu with a Cascading Start Menu, and you can select whether or not to see the recently used programs.
