Mad Unable to read any media!

When I download a .mpg from the internet on my AXIM X50V, Windows Media Player cannot find it.
Also Windows Media Player cannot find any media files stored on my pda. (in built in memory or CF card.
File Explorer shows the files but if I select the file it tells me that there is no app. associated with the file. But when I open Windows Media Player the file is not listed anywhere?

if you haven't created a folder called 'My Documents' on both of those then it won't work. The MS stuff only seems to be able to look in a folder of that name. Create it and move all the file in it. if you have a file called ignore my documents, you should delete it when you are done so it won't try to catalog the drive again.

Yes,
I do have a folder "My Documents"
The downloaded .mpg file is in there. but when I open Windows Media Player to play it it`s not able to find that file.

Is it true that Windows Media Player in my Axim X50v will only play WMA and WMV files?
Mabye that`s why it`s not recognizing those files?

Thank`s DAVE

I guess I didn't read your whole post. I think you are right and you need to try 'betaplayer' which works great on most files. I haven't even tried wmp until tonight. you can get it here
