Exclamation i found an axim trick!!!!!!

**************************************************
i may not be held responsible if you mess up your axim
**************************************************
okay we all saw that thread where you could change your reset screen.... well i have come up with a way that is much simpuler....
************************************************** *
1. your going to need some software like toatl commander
2. look for an image in the \WINDOWS\ folder called BOOT.BMP
3. rename this to BOOT_.BMP
4. put the image that you want to replace it with in the windows folder.
5. the image MUST be a bmp image
6. rename the selcted image to BOOT.bmp
************************************************** ***
all done ....i changed mine to cute little Oolong....

Let me guess...you're going to keep bumping until someone responds. I'll bite ... Cool.

Does it have to be sized to a certain resolution or does the Axim automatically down/up size it to fit?

Made a copy (just to see that I could access it). Yet, I was also able to access the file with Arcsoft Photobase. That software found the file to be 77k, 256 colors, 240x320, created/modified 02/20/2003 at 20:45, and of course a BMP.

So, in general, if you can't find the file, it IS there, but you have to find a file manager that can see the file first... then you can try to mess with the file...

I don't think the modification would cause permanent damange... but it might force a hard reset, so be careful!
