How to read text files?
I'm new to Windows Mobile PDAs. Very fustrated by how obtuse most of the OS is compared to Windows XP. I've been trying for more than an hour to open a text file. I don't want to download other crappy little utilities to do so, I'd like to use builtin Notes or PocketWord. I've renamed the file to have a .txt extension but PocketWord still refuses to show it in it's file listing.

What was the extension originally.

Open it on your PC then go to File>Save as> and save it as a text file rather than just change the name.

I downloaded it from my http mail server when I was at a hotspot. I'm just surpised at how difficult it is to do something so trivial (i.e., opening a file in a text editor, regardless of the extension).
