WIFI to get my e-mails

I've just bought the aximx30, 624mgs with wifi and bluetooth. I was finally able to connect at a hotspot, but I wasn't able to go to my internet serving company to retrieve my e-mails. I tried the same process at home (going as if I was entering their system from another computer site) and had no problem. Even when I connected the axim to my computer as a partner connection to the usb port, when I tried to access my mail through the server, the access was a failure or denied. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site!!

Check to make sure you entered the information correctly. Most of the time it is an error in entry that causes the problem. If need be, delete the account you setup on your Axim and start from scratch.

One thing to remember about email, is that you might be able to download your messages, but you won't be able to send messages out from any network other than your providers. So, if you go to a hotspot, and your settings are correct for getting email, you should be able to download them.

I would double-check the password (I had this problem, as I am still getting used to the character recognition system). From my provider, I can send and receive, but when I am at a wireless hotspot with my X50(mid), I can't send mail out through my ISP because of their mail server restrictions.

Talked with support in France and was told that the Axim X30 can't access secured sites (is not incrypted to communicate with), like my internet provider from hot spots. That's why I was unable to access. I even tried to partner the X30 through my computer by the usb, and still was unable to access my internet site, while directly through my computer I had no problem.

I don't understand this, pIE does it not support SSL, whitch is the

usual way to protect web portal for email access.

unless they want you to VPN in, and that too is available for the axim.
