Huh? You can activate the PPC version for use with protected ebooks, etc.

If you are using Adobe Reader 6...

While connected to the Internet, double-click the Adobe Reader icon to open Adobe Reader.

From the Adobe Reader menu bar, select Tools > eBook Web Services > Adobe DRM Activator.
Your browser will open the 'Adobe DRM Activator Site' web site.

Follow the instructions at this site to activate your copy of Adobe Reader.

While connected to the Internet, double-click the Adobe Reader icon to open Adobe Reader.

From the Adobe Reader menu bar, select File > Digital Editions > Authorize Devices.
Your browser will open the 'Adobe DRM Activator Site' web site.

Follow the instructions at this site to activate your copy of Adobe Reader.

Currently, up to 6 machines (Windows, Macintosh, and/or supported PDAs) may be activated to the same Passport account.
Where on the Adobe site did you find info saying the PPC version doesn't support DRM?

Ok. So I did this, and I am still unable to view files that I scan into my computer as PDF files. The error message I am getting says:

There was an error opening this document. This is either not a supported file type or the file has been corrupted.

Do you have any advice on this?

I just took a look at Adobe's download site and it says that Adobe Reader for Pocket PC 2002 version 2.0 is meant for:

Platform: Pocket PC 2002 and Windows® Mobile 2003 with Update 2

Isn't update 2 WM2003SE? I stand corrected if it's not. Anyhow, I'm downloading it now.

Which are you downloading- AR 2.0 or WM2003SE update 2? What kind of Axim do you have?

What are you using to scan the files? I have some files that I scanned with the PaperPort application that came with my Dell all-in-one printer; they are PDF and they (or at least the one I tried) open in Adobe Reader on my X50v just fine.

I'm downloading AR2 (which is meant for the WM2003 update 2 platform). It works fine on my X50v.

I am using my Canon scanner with the CanoScan software that came with it.

If you have SR-1 then SR-2 is just a free download from Microsoft.
