Why does windows mobile not run too greatly?

Ive never figured this out, even with all the time I have had a ppc. Why doesn't WM run that great? Like my old 400mhz celeron pc (which I no longer have) was better at browsing the web then my x50v. Why is this...???

well, so is the windows xp that ran on my 400mhz celeron. I really dont know why! its a stronger computer (except the ram, but it doesnt even use it all when web browsing) with a lower resolution screen, and it runs worse...

It's nothing to do with it being Microsoft. They are completely different hardware and software architectures. MHz is just a measure of cycles, not of processing power.

I agree with Howard2K. Computers and pda's are like apples and oranges:

One is easy to bring to work, but the other has a lot more juice.

Despite any stupid statements, you cannot directly compare processing ratings. Kind of like Pentium 4 vs Pentium M in laptops, M's have a slower Mhz, but run just as fast as higher-rated P4 processors.
