Reminders not working
Hi.
I have read all the threads on the bug that causes the PPC to not wake up from s asupsended state. That is not my problem, exactly...
What I have is that none of my reminders are working. If I use the built-in Alarms on the PPC, that works fine, but outlook alarms dont work at all... regardless if my PPC is on, off, in the cradle or not.
They worked initially, and then stoped working. I can't recall having changes any settings or adding any software in the interval.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael

I read this in one of the forums here but I can't find it now. But, change the time on the Axim. Move it 1 minute forward or back. Then Activesync. The sync will reset the clock back to the time on the computer and magically reminders will work again.
I have had to do this several times already. Why doesn't Microsoft fix this?

I was about to bang my head in the desk on this one. I am very good at working with Outlook and I could not get a reminder to work to save my life. I have a 15 year old pda (Sharp organizer) that works better than this!

I'm having the same problem, but the fix doesn't help. Anyone else stuck with Reminders that aren't firing?

I've tried the clock reset idea, but the reminders on my X51v stopped working too. It's got to be a Microsoft issue.
I just installed Pocket Controller and am going to experiment. I will set up all tasks/appointments through Pocket Controller (as if I am on the Axim) and see if reminders from events originated on the Axim work.

I thought I read somewhere that if you are running SwitcherBar it might interfere with it. Try stopping switcher bar if you are running it and make a new appointment for a recent time and wait to see if it works. I have never had this problem, so this is just an educated guess.

Nope. The X51v reminders don't work. But, I sync with my home and work computer. Both Outlook alarms on teh desktops work fine, just no alrms/reminder lights on the X51v.
