Internet Explorer

Does anyone know if there is an update for IE? I had a message come up saying something about updates were available. I believe it said I had IE4. I cant seem to find any place where I can get an update if there is one.
Thanks

No, there are no updates. Did you apply a registry hack that makes your browser appear to be a desktop version?

I've had the same message. As I've only had my Axim for a few days I assumed it was just a limitation of PIE, to be recognized as IE4.

Here's the registry hack:
Quote:
Many web sites that require encryption do not verify if your browser support high encryption, they just check the browser version.
This registry hack will make Pocket Internet Explorer identifies itself as Internet Explorer 5.5 running on Windows 2000, this may let you connect to web site that check the browser version, but it will also prevent web sites that provide Pocket PC specific content to be able to know you're actually using a Pocket PC.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings\User Agent\

Change the default value from "Mozilla/2.0" to "Mozilla/4.0".
Change the "Version" value from "MSIE 3.02" to "MSIE 5.5".
Change the "Platform" value from "Windows CE" to "Windows NT 5.0".
Some web sites may even just compare the user agent string, so if this is not enough, browse to the Post Platform sub key and delete the "240x320" value (it have no data).

I am fed up with Pocket Explore in Mobile 5 (I use Wifi when travelling )!
Same problem as in Mobile 3: Most webmails (eg Tiscali, Alice) simply do not work and on known sites such as www. klm.com you cannot even enter the departure town! I have tried Opera, Netfront and Webby to no avail!
Swisscom mobile has also modified their site so it does no longer work with Pocket Explorer. I think Microsoft, Dell as well as many Providers have given the consumer misleading information (making you believe that Pocket explorer and wifi can do teh same as on a PC) and they should get their act together!
I am very angry.
