Memory Allocation and usage with WM2003 and X5

I just switched my X5 to PPC2003

I noticed the memory allocation is greater for programs than with PPC2002

storage: 31.66..used 0.67mb

Programs: 31.67...used 5.97mb running nothing under "running programs" if I recall PCC 2002 was like 3.0mb

So is it better since I have a 1gb storage card to change the slider for storage to say 10mb and let the programs have 50mb+

Not really sure I understand the significance of this

hmm..also seems stopping a program does not completely free up the memory...is this the so called memory leak issue?

Even if you move the slider, it will only stay there temporarily. The best thing to do is to keep as little installed in Main Memory (i.e., RAM) as possible and always clean out temp files. Take a look at Memory Help for Noobies guide for more info:

Yeah, I've "borked" my PPC before...hehe...The easiest way to delete unnecessary files is to use a utility such as MemMaid or SKTools. You can also delete Internet temp files by going to Tools, Options , then Memory & Security tabs.
