BASIC for WM 2003?

I'm looking for a good, procedural (NOT visual crap!) version of BASIC for WM2003, sort of like HotPaw BASIC for Palm. Is there anything like that? TIA

There used to be an app call BasicCE, back in Windows CE 1.0 days, but I believe it's long been discontinued. . .

Your best bet would be PocketDos and run either Qbasic, TurboBas, or my favorite Firstbas directly in the emulated DOS environment:

NSbasic is a development app for CE devices (@ $149.00US for a single license)... I believe the thread starter was looking for something to run/write standard basic programs.

I found a good substitute. I'm now using PDACalc Matrix PocketPC version on my Axim and Windows version on my desktop. It's close enough to BASIC so I feel right at home and it's much faster than PocketDOS with a BASIC interpreter (which I also have). I have no connection with the company other than being a satisfied customer. It's $67.96 for the combination Windows and PocketPC bundle although each is also available separately. There's also a version for Palm if you want to do cross-development work. It's not a compiler, though. Thanks to all who answered my post!

Sounds like a good alternative; however, one correction:

Firstbas running under Pocketdos is not interpreted, it's compiled. It's shareware (looks to be free even), although I assume you've compared and have confirmed that PDACalc is still faster.

FirstBas

NSBasic is quite cool and works nicely. Yes, it's "visual crap" but it's simple enough to use.
