How to open files on my PC when networked with my PPC

I was successful in networking my Axim x30 with my PC and printer. Now I can see all of the files on my PC, but can't open them. If I click on the file, nothing happens. If I open up the program (Word, Excel, Pictures, etc.) first, I can only find files that are on the built in storage or storage card. There is no option to browse the network. There has to be a way of doing it, but I can't figure it out.

Thanks,
Chuck

Hey Chuck,
Don't know a lot but you might make sure that the files on your PC have the sharing on, otherwise they won't open.

Can either of you tell me how to access my PC from my PPC? I have my PC and PPC networked, but all I know how to do is access the internet.

Any help is appreciated!

Networking your Pocket PC section of the WiFi Guide.

As for actually opening files that are on the PC, you need an alternative file explorer, such as Resco or Total Commander. The file explorer that is part of Windows Mobile will allow you to copy files from the PC to the PPC, but not open them 'in place.'
