Hmm What is msim.192.dll?

Hi, I have searched high and low for an answer to this to no avail so I thought I would post my first message.

I have a file called msim.192.dll in the Windows folder on my Axim x50v. It says it is in ROM so I assume that mean the BIS. It is about 1MB in size.

I also have a file called msim.192.dll.0409.mui. This is a little smaller but is still about 1MB in size. This is in RAM.

Does anybody now what msim.192.dll is for, and why I have this 'duplicate'?

Thanks

Trevaylor

That one (msim.192.dll)works with your virtual keyboard. The msim.192.dll.0409.mui file replaces the resources in msim.192.dll so you can use a keyboard skin. Here's more details from microsoft.public.pocketpc and ctitanic.

Don't Panic: thanks for your help. Skinning the keyboard isn't worth using up that much RAM.

If you have sucess after removing it post please. After A03 I was so happy to have only 3megs gone but it has blouted again. I wish I didn't have to try every demo out there which after uninstall still leaves dust bunnies :rolling:

I removed it fine. Just reset the option Tweaks2k2.NET to not skin the keyboard and the .MUI file disappeared.
