Enabling the wireless card
I am having a headache trying to write a program that can turn on the internal wireless card of my Axim X30. Is there any utility that does it or anyone who knows what I should do in C++ or whatever to turn it on?
I know that there's an utility from Dell that turns it on and off, but it's a toggle, while I want to make sure that my application only turns it on wether it is off or already on. Any help is very appreciated ![]() -tanis | |||||

tanis, why don't you just leave the wireless on all the time?

I just can't leave it alway on because it's sucking too much battery and I want to write an application that by default turns it off. Then it turns the wireless on only when a communication between the axim and the server is needed.

I agree. If I want to connect wirelessly, I should have the option to. I hate how whenever you turn on your PPC, the wifi card turns on and I always have to turn it off...plus, if you have announcements that go off and the card turns on (and you're not there), it drains the battery fast.
