I am having a headache trying to write a program that can turn on the internal wireless card of my Axim X30. Is there any utility that does it or anyone who knows what I should do in C++ or whatever to turn it on?

I know that there's an utility from Dell that turns it on and off, but it's a toggle, while I want to make sure that my application only turns it on wether it is off or already on.

Any help is very appreciated

tanis, why don't you just leave the wireless on all the time?

I just can't leave it alway on because it's sucking too much battery and I want to write an application that by default turns it off. Then it turns the wireless on only when a communication between the axim and the server is needed.

I agree. If I want to connect wirelessly, I should have the option to. I hate how whenever you turn on your PPC, the wifi card turns on and I always have to turn it off...plus, if you have announcements that go off and the card turns on (and you're not there), it drains the battery fast.
