DirectX on PocketPC 2003

Hey all, you might want to check my website at www.monocube.com for something cool (I think): I've managed to install DirectX on my PocketPC 2003. Also posted a movie showing a simple mp3 player made with accelerated DirectShow/DirectSound ;)

What's the advantage for DirectShow/DirectSound?? We can already play mp3's and movies etc on. Will it be faster/smoother? or what?

Think of what DirectX brought to the desktop Windows. High speed games are some of them. Almost all desktop players today use a common interface for codecs (DirectShow). In short, yes, it will bring better players and more 3D games. Microsoft finally decided to include DirectX in Windows Mobile 5, but what I actually did is to also install it on PocketPC 2003 ;)

Are you going to share how you installed it? Any note-worthy programs that utilize this directx variation for WM2003 AT ALL?

I got it from a Windows CE device (not PocketPC), and made the registry settings required for it to work. I don't know any PocketPC specific programs that make use of it at the moment, since I don't know any PocketPC's that have it installed. I want to develop something on it, however, I'm not sure yet if I can redistribute it.
