Large PDF files

Newbie here, thanks in advance for any suggestions. One reason I got a axim x50v is to carry around company PDF documents. Some are quite large - 68K. When I placed this doc in my documents on the PPC, activesync freezes with the message "257 mins to snycronize".
Am I doing something wrong here? I plan to buy a SD card, how do I transfer files to it - activesync?
Any suggestions on the best way to manage / view these large PDFs?
Thanks

68k isn't that large for a pdf file. How 'complex is it', just text or complicated autocad drawings for example.

Does the PDF contain any custom plugins or DRM?

I carry around SEVERAL 30meg to 80meg PDF documents on my X50v. Acrobat Reader 2.0 has no problem with them at all.

I just transferred all of my e-books to my CF card via a card reader.

I carry several multi-MB pdf files on my sD card. Reader has no problem reading them straight from the card. I use a card reader to transfer the files straight from the desktop to the card.
