cannot remove menu items

I uninstalled a program from the ram and installed it into the built in memory. I cannot remove the item from the start menu it says 'Unable to move that item' and I cannot add the same item under the new location because I already have 7. how do I remove it?

Have you tried a soft reset before trying to remove the menu item?

yes,only thing i can think of is installing it over

Check Windows\Start Menu with File Explorer for the dead link and delete it from there.
