Won't turn off automatically after waking for alert - drains batts

Hi Everyone;

My Axim X30 has a problem, and I'm not sure how to correct it.

Sometimes I open up my case to find that the X30 is ON and also that it has LOW batteries.

The first thing I always see on the screen is a meeting alarm on my calendar.

Is there a way to turn off the alarms?

Is this normal behavior -- to keep the unit on until I respond?

thanks.
