Browser Upgrade

Hi,

I am a new user to the PDA's, and have just got a new Dell Axim X50. I have just successfully set this up for wirless at home. However when I go to some website, it says that I need to have a browser upgrade. A couple of sites that mention this is www.tiscali.co.uk and www.yahoo.co.uk. Sites that I need to get my emails from. Any ideas?

Hmm okay. Pocket IE supports most basic features- the bare minimum that will let you browse. Pocket IE isn't identified as IE 6, it's identified as an unknown basic browser. See if you can get around that message. For yahoo try the www.yahoo.com address and see if u can log on there.

I am also a tiscali user and have the same message. I can scroll down to the tiscali screen but can't find the mail icon to click.
I tried the link to upgrade the browser but nothing happened.
You're not alone out there so if you get an answer to the problem, please, please post it!

Try folling their server into thinking you have IE6. This is done with a Registry Hack. I'm pretty sure the Lite version of tweaks2k2.NET includes this hack. You still might not be able to get your mail though if either site uses a java applet to deliver the mail you'll need something like Netfront to get to that. PIE doesn't support Java applets.
