IMAP folders - can i use them?

apologies if this is an old question but i'm a new convert from my old B/W palmOS4 clie...

I have succesfully got my X5 syncing with outlook, selectively choosing inbox subfolders and bunging attachments on the SD card
I also have 6 IMAP accounts set up.

so far so good.

but my IMAP accounts have subfolders - the Axim sees these and creates them but does not put any mails in them. if i move a mail to a folder other than INBOX then on next connecting, the move is replicated on the server (i can see this happening in outlook) but the mail then disappears from the PDA. it makes no odds whether i make the IMAP folders at the same level as Inbox or as subfolders of inbox.

also, i cannot get the PDA to save mail sent from IMAP accounts in the 'sent items' folder(s). again, the folder exists on PDA, and on the server.

any help greatly appreciated.

i guess maybe i'll have to buy a 3rd-party app to do this stuff, which seems a bit daft after paying M$ good money for 'pocket outlook' in the bundle. que sera - so any advice on which app actually works would also be great!

thanks

Mark

"SENT MAIL" Problems

I ran into the same problem with the SENT MAIL folder. No mail will show up in the SENT MIAL on my Axim. The folder structure is there, but no mail. My workaround is to move the mail to a different folder and it works fine ??!!

Just for anyone finding this page.
To sync IMAP folders select your IMAP account in the folders drop down. Then tap Menu -> Tools -> Manage Folders
Tick the folders you want to sync with the IMAP server.
