background wallpaper intensity question
How do I change the contrast or the intensity of the image in
the background (more or less transparent) when I load my own picture into the start screen via Settings, Today, and "Use this picture as background wallpaper"

Thanks

I'm not sure that you can...I know that's an option with the theme generators, but I think you have to do it in a graphics program and save it that way if you use it as a straight image.

Sure you can, all you have to do is use the "pictures" program instead of setting it through the "Today Screen" settings.

Go Start->Programs->Pictures. Then find the picture you would like to use as wallpaper and go Tools->Set as Today Wallpaper. The next screen you see will let you set a transparency level. 0% is NO transparency and 100% is total transparency. Set it and click "OK". Done and Done! Enjoy!

*Edit* I forgot to mention, to get rid of it as the wallpaper, just go into the Today settings and pick a different theme. (other then the current one selected)

Learn something new every day. I guess that's what I get for NEVER touching the Pictures app except when I accidentally opened it a couple of times .
