File Explorer any Improvements in Winows Mobile 5.0
My x50v came with a buggie File Explorer in Windows 2003 SE it would not show SD card properly in Word's Browser. I had to purchase Resco File Explorer. I would rather hope Windows Explorer problems are corrected in Windows Mobile 5.0.
I am considering ordering the upgrade CD from Dell but before I do I would like to know If anyone who has upgraded has any info if it works properly in version 5.
not to mention that the upgrade isn't actually out yet so no one knows what it will work like yet. I use both Total Commander and Resco and TC is definately the better deal at this point(free and does about everything that Resco can do).
I think even with the upgrade.. there will still be a place for 3rd party apps.

I agree. I can't see MS wasting a bunch of time on this. I wanted to add that another reason that I like Total Commander is that since it is free I keep it in BIS and if I have to hard reset it will still work prior to a restore unlike Resco which has to be registered before it will work.

Resco works just fine after a hard reset.
It does go back to trial mode with a nag screen but it's still fully functioning.

I've used TC and also have Resco. I wound up deleting TC because I found the interface to be a bit clunky. Very powerful and great for a freeware app, but Resco is the way to go if you can.
