i just spent an hour on the phone with dell ts and they have no clue about this. here goes: i d/l adobe reader 2.0, following instructions, i removed reader 1.0 first, then installed reader 2.0. at the very end of the install, a window pops up on the x5 reading: "you must first uninstall reader 1.0 before installing 2.0". there is no visible trace of 1.0 remaining and i'm stuck with no pdf ability. help!

this is an x5 with PPC ver. 4.20.1081

I have found with Adobe you have to use THEIR uninstaller on your desktop to really get rid of it. Otherwise you might be able to delete the files using explorer and then something like MemMaid to clean out the extra junk.

PS - One post is enough. People will see it no matter where you put it.
