Mad Ghost in the Machine

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I installed MortPlayer when I first got my X30h but have since deleted it in favor of GS Player which I like much better. However, MortPlayer has left something behind that I can't find nor get rid of using the Total Command or File Explore or Find or Explore under ActiveSync or soft reset. Everytime I turn on my X30h, I get this annoying pop-up screen that tells me: "Notification Error ... Cannot Execute\Program Files\MPNotify.exe"

Any software gurus out there can tell me where this file is and/or how to get it off my X? It really blows when I try to show it off (hey, I just got mine a little more than a week ago) and have to dismiss that screen as well as slows me down when I'm actually trying to be productive and use the thing. Thanks.

You could try looking under; File explorer, windows, startup.
I use Memaid for getting to that stuff, so I don't know if that will work or not.

If ungluud's advice doesn't help, try reinstalling Mortplayer and then uninstalling it again.

I had the same issue. I had to reinstall Mort, uninstall Mort from the PPC, then sync, then uninstall and remove completely from the ActiveSync TOOLS --> ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS select *ONLY* Mort, then click REMOVE.

That solved it for me. And even did another test run on it for a friend of mine having the same issue with his iPaq.

Big Smile You guys are the best!

Thanks you for your suggestion, Ungluud, Xanlexian, et al., it worked like a charm. Finally got the time to follow your advice and ... Mort Player is completely gone. No more ghost in my machine!
