Disappearing icon in Programs

A very random problem, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this..
I suddenly realised the File Explorer icon was missing from my list of Programs. No idea of cause or even why it may have happened.
I've readded the icon now after copying and pasting from Start Menu folder.

I think I've located the problem.
It seems that whenever I select programs to show in my Start Menu (the one that's limited to about 7 progs), they are automatically removed from my list of programs, probably to reduce the clutter.
