M$ should be ashamed of thier web browser
I just upgraded my PSP to the 2.0 firmware, and I was shocked to find out that the web browser is much better than anything I have used on my Axim X50v. It has it's problems, no touchscreen and the screen resolution is not as high, but it's faster and it displays pages better than anything else I've tried. It really is bad when Microsoft can't make a better browser on a more powerful device than Sony and they have had years to do it. Let's hope there is a big improvement in WM 2005, or I may sell my X50v and switch to a cheap Palm or something, because besides basic PDA functions, it's getting where the PSP can do about everything else better.

Except Movies, Tons of Programs for everytask from currency conversion to gps programs, wifi detectors, maps, word, excel, picture viewing and editing, email, some games (obviously not psp style), music, and much much more.
The Axim still has its high sides, and there are plenty of other browsers for it like Thunderhawk, NetFront, etc.
I personally like PIE, but some dont, and can use thunderhawk, netfront, or others

You know I was exagerating a bit of course, but for what I use it for, I could do it on a much less expensive device is my point. Those apps you mentioned could all be run on the cheap WM2003SE HP handheld I saw down at Sams for $160. It's slow and the screen is just QVGA, but my point was, except for web browsing, video, pictures, music etc I don't really see a big need for the VGA and a lot of power. And all those things including movies look better on the PSP screen. It's lower resolution, but the screen just looks incredible. VGA is nice, but one of the main things I wanted the Axim for is really lacking. And I've tried other browsers, they really stink on the VGA as well, none of them run native. You can get true VGA with a hack, but that's a pain in my opinion, and it's really slow. Again, it may get better in WM2005, if it doesn't I'm getting a cheap handheld. I guess my point isn't that the PSP is better than a X50v by any means, they are devices for a completely different purpose, just that M$ really could do so much better with the web browser and VGA support. It's just frustrating that I prefer my $200 gaming machine to my $400 PDA for things that it really shouldn't be better at.

Well if you're a gamer who doesn't really need a higher end pda.. then by all means sell it and get something that suits you better.
I couldn't get by with that cheap PDA, I'd find it really painful. But your needs are different to mine

I find PIE to suit my needs PERFECTLY! Read and respond on Aximsite and read the news on MSNBC. I can even stream XM. What else is there? If I have to do some serious browsing, it won't be on my Axim.
I am very happy with the Dell. My wife even gave me the green light for the yearly upgrade, but I am so happy right now that this PDA may actually see two years! (of course, we'll have to see what this fall brings :D)

I paid 240$ for my Axim X50v w/ extra battery and 2yr warranty. I honestly haven't made a better purchase and all I do is buy buy buy.

The best solution I've come up with is to TS to my home PC and run Opera. A little slow, but it sure looks nice :)

They should be.
I can live with PIE using the macromedia flash plugin, Java Jeode, PIE Plus v1.3 beta, and the true vga hack.
I would still like it to be better though.
