Can't paste into PIE password

I use fancy alpha-numeric mixed-case passwords that I store in a secure file. It would be quicker and more accurate to cut 'n'paste them into log-in screens when needed.

But it seems that I can't paste anything at all into a PIE password field.

In the classic phrase, is this a bug or a feature? Is it a known --- and poorly judged --- attempt at securing the system?

(It's PPC 2003 SP2 with SPB Pocket Plus add-in.)

I just tried pasting a password but was also unsuccessful. Have you tried TapText? That might help. There is a demo if you just want to try it.
