Programs installed in the in-built memory

Generally, do programs installed in the in-built memory need to be reinstalled again once a hard-reset has been performed?
Obviously, you'd need to set up the shortcuts in your "Programs", but do many programs rely on files dumped in the Windows folder of the RAM?

it depends on the program. Most are self contained but some may depend on dll files or registry entries that are contained in main mem.
