But when I try to view the page in IE for PPC, it just owgives me a message saying I'm not connected and gives me the option to dismiss the message. After I dismiss the msg, no page loads.
Long ago I thought this was because I had my PPC IE cache set to a memory card using SKTools. But that was before a hard reset, and I'm currently using PPC IE cache in my default main memory.
Please help,

Ben;
Ok for starters I've not found an answer yet and I’ve been trying for just short of a year :bang:
Ok <Begin Rant>
And this is after contacting Dell directly and was told. . ."hmm I don't know I’ll have to get back to you " (and that was about 3 months ago).
To give you a bit of direction check out these posts by me (and others).
1.
Problems with IE offline conntet
2.
Synchronized offline pages not displayed on Pocket IE
And My favorite Thread that just ended with a secondary resolution with no mention of the primary (offline viewing):
3.
Internet explorer - offline view
Here's a bit I posted on another site that encapsulates what I’ve been going through (and I’m assuming you):

. . .This is the same problem I have when using 'mobile Favorites' - it'll download the 'favorites' for offline viewing. but after I’ve *maybe* viewed the page once when (again having to hit Dismiss numerous times) if I try viewing a second time I don't get anything other than the 'can't connect' messages.
Does anyone have any idea what I’m talking about and/or how to resolve this issue. I had thought I read somewhere that a 'bug' (and I use that term loosely) with WM2003 was that when it downloads any 'active content' from a site (and I’m not sure what 'active content' means) it will constantly (or always) try to get that content again. So that in a sense if there are 'place holders on a page' the PDA isn't smart enough to know not to try and fill them b/c the pda is off line.

But the best answer I’ve come across so far was one I found on Dell's site a few months back that said that if there is any 'active content' on the page you are syncing then it will attempt to load that content (data) when viewing. And as just about any page has active content (i.e. ads, flash, animated Gifs (I think)), just about any page you'll want to view won't be available.
And before people jump down my throat (not that they have in other attempts to get this issue resolved for me) I am presuming that both you and I have 'mastered' the art of Syncing mobile Favorites on our desk top. That is doing a manual (or automated) syncing of a web page to our desktop through IE. I know I’ve done this to little or no avail (at best (as mentioned above) I’ll be able to view the page once and then never again).
So please no tutorials on how to properly set up a 'mobile Favorite' -- Been There done that.
And no answers like, "use AvantGo" or "Use SunnySoft's WorldOffline" this is something that is supposed to be a 'selling point' of WM2003 and PPC in general - I shouldn't need a 3rd party program to do something that my PPC was actually designed (and marketed) to do.
As you can tell this is something that has plagued me and infuriated me to no end (its one reason I like having a PDA). If you (or anyone out there) reads this can shed some light on this issue I would be forever in your debt.
