Question Calander problem

I have a strange problem and need help... My Axim x50 shows appointment times from my Outlook calendar that are 1 hour different than the corresponding entries on my pc's outlook....

For example:

On my PC: Men's Group 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On my Axim: Men's Group 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Anything I can do to fix this, and get both systems in sync?
Active Sync seems to be working, and I have all the latest software in place that I know of....

Help!!!!

Is the timezone and daily light saving set properly on your axim?

I believe so.... I have the correct time showing on both my computer and pda. Is there a place where I can specify EST or EDT on my PDA? I only see under clock and alarms a choice of time zones.

Could there be an issue in synchronization with outlook?

As far as I know, there is no place on the Axim to specify daylight savings time.

Check on your desktop to make sure daylight savings is marked. If not check it.

(I learned from experience. I thought my computer was set for daylight savings because the time was automatically changing. It wasn't. The server at work was set for daylight savings and my computer was just changing the time to match the server's time.)

Unfortunately, just checking daylight savings may not change the times on your Axim to match. I had to go into several appointments and change the times so they were correct. If I remember right, I had to change the appointments so they were more than an hour different from the correct time, save and close, then change a second time to the correct time.

Yes - my PC says Eastern daylight time.... This is frustrating. I'll bet there's a flaw in the software that Microsoft provides! You'd think that the PDA software would seamlessly adjust for daylight time. Such is life.

Make sure that the Timezone is the same and that Daylight saving is also selected or not on both devices.

How do I tell my PDA that it is in EDT and not EST? Is there a control that allows me to tell my Axim that we're in Daylight time? My PC autoadjusts for daylight time every time we spring forward/fall back. But why doesn't the PDA do the same thing?

I had the saame problem- appointments entered on my computer would always be one hour ahead on my Axim X5:
I fixed it this way:

Under Time Zone tab:
Make sure "Automatically adjust clock for Daylight savings changes" is checked :approve:

Sorry - my previous post did NOT fix the problem - I am back to the one hour ahead on my AXIM. As far as I can determine, there is no feature to set Daylight Saving Time on my AXIM. But if it were a daylight savings issue, wouldn't the AXIM be one hour behind and not one hour ahead ?

BTW, my AXIM synced flawlessly for two years up until about one month ago. Nothing has changed in the way I sync . . .

Just performed a hard reset on my AXIM and synched with computer- appointment times seem to be syncing accurately now . . .

Here is a work-aroud not a fix that I use. During daylight saving time months, my computer is set on Eastern time and my pocket PC is on Central time otherwise my pocket PC appointments are off an hour. I live in the Eastern time zone.

When daylight saving time goes back to standard, it throws my pocket PC off an hour (too early). I then set my pocket PC back to Eastern time, resync and my pocket PC displays the correct appointment times.

I am hoping that before next spring, I can figure out how to get this to stop happening.
