Is there a way to save ONLY my calendar and task, so that after a hard reset i can restore just those 2 things back? In ActiveSync, where you check the programs you want to sync, neither Calendar, nor Task have boxes that can be checked. I dont know how to retrieve this information from my pocket pc. I need it. I do have Outlook.

If you use the data-back-up utility that came with your ppc, then you can choose to back-up only the calendar and tasks if that's all you want, but you'll have to save to a CF or SD card. I don't have AS in front of me right now to tell you how to do the same save there.

If you sync with Outlook before you do your hard reset.. then afterwards sync back... all your Pim stuff should just return on your axim

You should be able to tell AS that you want to sync calendar & tasks. On the PC, go into options, then click on the item you want, you can set the amount of data to sync, i.e. all tasks, only open tasks, etc.; the same thing with calendar items, last 2 weeks, all, etc.

If the items are already in Outlook on the PC, you shouldn't have any problems when you do the hard reset, AS will copy those items back to the PDA when you create the partnership.
