RESET once a day

Is it common for you to have to reset the x50v at least once a day or do I have a lemon?

Also, my 1GB SanDisk SD - at least once a day, I cannot access any of the files or even see this card? My 340MB IBM MIcrodrive is fine however.
I have to turn wireless off, and reboot 3 or 4 times before my card is recognized?!?!

Any advice? I purchased the x50v directly from Dell in late May/early June! My IPAQ2215 to this day always worked fine in same configuration (except wireless, since it did not have it).

Any advise, suggestions will be welcome.
Thanks,
CP

Not normal, sounds like a software problems maybe. Like Ecks said, what programs are you running? Also, what ROM version are you using?

And windows mobile devices don't close programs when you click on the X so you might be running out of memory

Most of the times, it's when I retrieve the Axim from the cradle in the morning!
I have no programs running in the background, because I double check the task switcher and turn everything off before it goes in the cradle.
I just use the standard PIM programs, ListPro (version 2.0.1), Podometer (version 2.8) - this is a vehicle maintenance/mileage tracking!
Of course WiFi/Odyssey is running, but BlueTooth is off!

My memory is as follows:
STORAGE PROGRAM
Allocated:28.80MB Allocated:32.95MB
In Use: 14.73MB In Use: 15.73MB
FREE: 14.07MB FREE: 17.22MB

Any advise/suggestions welcome!!!
Thanks,
CP

I someties do it once a day just to make sure mem is free. Other than that, the only time that i have to soft reset is if a program locks up. Do you have anything that maybe trying to sync during that time frame besides the PIM info? also it could be a conflict between some programs installed. For the sd card messing up there have been reported issues of that here. It seems that when programs are accessing it wether it is for writing or reading and you soft reset or turn it off it doesn't close out the file system on the card correctly and corrupts it.

possibly an alarm or calendar reminder popping up? for some reason I find that sometimes they will cause a lockup over night if left on the screen.

I reset only if needed 1-2 times a week. Running programs can conflict to cause this. Try to eliminate some (don't start them for a few days) and see if your unit works better.
