Hello everyone. First off, this is my first post here. Second off, I am very new to the Axim, I just received it today. I am a freshman in college and my dad just found a person selling a used Axim X5 (pretty sure) at work. I received it today, installed all the software, and was trying to put all of my calender and tasks in outlook 2003 on my PC into the Axim. All of my classes and homework for the next semester are contained in the calender and tasks.
First it automatically installed outlook 2002, which was a problem. Before it was deleted, I could not open either Outlook programs. Now when I try to load Outlook 2003, it is a bit sluggish and returns "Script Error Line 298, Char 1, Error Library not registered, URL outlook:today" it also says "c:\....\application data\microsoft\addins\outlbva.dll"
If this is the wrong forum, I apologize, if the moderators could please move it to the correct one.
Also if someone could help soon I would be very pleased. I would like to have this working and updated before I go to class on Monday.

There is no box present to check mark to say i wante to synchronize. I have a box for favorites, pocket access, inbox, files, and avant go, but nothing for contacts, notes, tasks, or calender.
gee now i have another problem. the active sync was working just fine, but now for some reason i havent been able to get it to work the past 2 hours, i downloaded and updated to the newest version, 3.8 but still no luck. when i plug it in to the computer's usb through the cradle, XP says it found new hardware, but the sync still doesnt say its connected, and when i click on mobile device in my computer, nothing comes up...any ideas anyone?
Do a backup of your Outlook data, then reinstall or repair 2003. Also reinstall ActiveSync 3.8. (For both, make sure you uninstall first; don't just reinstall over the existing install.) Do not try to connect your Axim before doing so.
i have office 2003...is there a way to uninstall outlook and install outlook only, rather than having to uninstall powerpoint, word, excel, and all the other programs
now when i try to hook up the foldable keyboard, it won't work. i can click on the keybaord under programs, click enable keyboard (before when it was running i ahd to click that everytime i hooked it up), now it just wont work for some reason
***edit*** whenever i tried to export my outlook files, it said operation failed....please help me, i dont want to lose all of that information
alright...i did what i thought was a hard reset...pushing in the reset button on the side. when i pressed it the Axim restarted, i put it in the cradle, and everything is working fine, the active sync, putting games and other files on it, running the keyboard...
only problem remaining now is with outlook 2003 and not losing all my files...i have like 10 hours of work that i typed in, almost all hte homework due til end of december, my class schedule, athetlic events...id prefer not to lose that
If you can sync to your Axim fine, then at least your Outlook data will be stored in on both your PC and your Axim. Do a backup of your Axim, and then try to fix your Outlook. You should be able to uninstall it without WORD, etc using the Add/Remove function in your Control Panel.
everyone you are amazing, thank you so much for all your help, everything is working great now, with 1 exception, but i'm making a new post for that, i won't check back to this thread, so no point in anyone posting anything after this, but thanks alot, everyone was great and quick to respond
