Actually it doesn't make any difference AT ALL!

If it was not available for sale on the internet the pirates would just upload a copy when they recieve a CD with the content... The only thing different is few days in delay now that really stops piracy

Of course putting it on a CD won't stop piracy , what I meant was that due to piracy out there, Dell now won't offer it as a download

The thing is I don't understand why that would reduce piracy at all, what's stopping you from burning ISO images of the CD and spread them? NOTHING. It's the most BS excuse any company could come up with.

but seriously, using mail forwarders like ExpatExpress is the only way i know to get stuff from the US without much hassle... hey, i can eve have my groceries sent over, too...

Heh, I beta too, and 1GB is like thirteen minutes on a good download server, thiry minutes if laggy. Cable modem roxxors!

Find someone to buy it when they get released, send them the cash, they would then have to post it somewhere for you to get within so many days (to avoid you sharing the download with others). They send you the serial number, then send you the disc via snail mail.

Good luck trying. Understand if what you say is true, but I don't have the storage space; or means to ensure only you would be downloading the software. But some of the other folks migh have servers set up for this sort of thing.
