Transfer WM5 to X50

My X50v crashed badly its only a couple months old and I will have to send it in for repair. In the mean time I need my axim badly so I am forced to buy an x51v while the x50v goes out for repair.

I was told by someone that if I back up the x51v then restore it to the x50v the x50v will have wm5 on it. can anyone verify this?

Copying and reflashing the ROM MIGHT work--you also might completely bugger your X50v. I don't think anyone has actually had the stones to test it yet and see the results. I'd advise you wait. Since your X50v is only a couple months old, you should get a free WM5 upgrade later this month anyway.

Just out of curiosity!

Don’t you have the Dell Advanced Exchange Service?
