Got an order Number for my WM5 cd!

After about 5 chats with dell i finally got an order number and a reference number for my wm5 cd. I just asked them to check the status of my order and "Norman" said give me 2 minutes and I will process your order. I was like no problem.

. "Norman" said the cd will ship in about 4-5 days

I'll see how it goes and keep everyone posted. Finally some progress with dell cust. supp. last time I talked with them they told me that my cd would ship as soon as soon as the software was released on the market. I told them it is already on the market and on their homepage because they are selling it on their x51 and they had no idea what the x51 even was.

Update 10/9: order has just shown up under my account, status is order processing.

I wouldn't be surprised if your order is "processing" for a few days, then your order either get cancelled or stays in the "processing" status for a while. Hopefully not, but thats what was happening with everyone else if I am not mistaken.

yeah but i am just glad to see my order acknoledged on their site. before no one even knew anything about my order.

Update 10/10: order status is in production, ship date is 10/18

Well, don't hold your breath. I received a call today to push the ship date back another week. It's my 3rd or 4th one in as many weeks.

Lucky!!! I ordered my WM5 CD on the 6th of October and apparently it takes 1-2 weeks for "Pre-Production." The ETA is like November 14th!!! Consider yourself lucky....

I haven't really kept this thread up to date because i have talked to way too many dell people who all just said that my ship date was being postponed. Anyway I just got my cd in the mail today.

The only thing strange is that my account still shows the free order i asked for as in production.

Anyway my guess is that I may be recieveing two copies of the cd because maybe they sent me the first one which i didn't think they were going to send me and then sent me another one(the one that is still in production) when i complained that my cd hadn't been shipped yet. Hope this all makes sense. Going to go install it.
