We still get American English.

The difference is in things such as wi-fi drivers etc.

I've been given a date of 27 October by my account manager, but it remains to be seen how reliable that is.

Apparently, the list price will be £19 when it comes up on the website.

its not worth it, i've got wm5 on my x51v and its rather buggy to an extent the pda killed itself in two hours of usuage. alot of features i liked with 2003 have gone (new button, rotate screen button, etc are not there anymore)
If you also read around the x51 is slower than the x50 because of the way wm5 works.

Oh and the x51's are rare in the uk i had to wait nearly two weeks for mine, im sure i'll have fun getting a replacement sent out

I'm beginning to wonder about this myself. I've been anticpating WM5 for a long time, to the extent that I was nearly holding off on buying my X50v. However, I'm in two minds now about even buying the upgrade. Everything runs so smoothly on my Axim at the moment - I can do everything I wanted and all the software is compatible. Maybe buy it, but don't install till next year, when all the apps have been upgraded to be compatible...? What concerns me is that I may not be able to go 'back' to WM2003 if the WM5 upgrade causes problems with apps I use everyday.

I have a new X51v and compared to my old X5 it is a nightmare - don't know if this is the hardware or WM5 but things certainly don't run smoothly. After about two days ActiveSync stopped connecting to both my home and work computers so I rang Dell technical who could find no record of my buying the machine so couldnt help - eventually I fixed the problem on my own - ActiveSync had installed a network adapter connection and for some reason was trying to connect through that, as soon as I deleted it ActiveSync was back working. However the machine still locks up on a regular basis, it regularly fails to recognise that a CF card is present even if the card has not been removed and the machine feels generally slow. I have been searching the Web for any patches or updates but nothing so far - I am starting to wish that I had waited till next year when these bugs should have been ironed out.

I agree - my AXim 50v is currently in a state of Nirvana. The only thing I would like is persistent storage so I could bleed my Axim till its dry.

Having said that, I'm sure WM5 issues will be ironed out, but maybe there needs to be a fundamental hardware update as well. i.e. machines with bigger RAM.

I just talked to Dell today about something else and asked about the upgrade CD. The guy that I was talking to said that it would definitely be available within the next two weeks.

Lets wait and see.

I've been told today by my rep, that it will be available in "approximately one months time."

Makes me wonder, if I get someone to order it in the USA, can I install it on my UK Axim??
