WM 5.0 OEM, the same as ordered disc?
Anyone know if the OEM (shipped with X51v) is the same as the upgrade disc that you would order?

Are you saying that the x51v came with an upgrade CD? I'm a bit confused.

I think he's suggesting that the 51 came with an OS disc, in which case I would expect the disc for the 50 to be different due to the different memory config of the machines and the fact that it's an upgrade rather than a "clean install" disc.
That being said I don't know what is on the disc shipped with the 51 and nobody (at least nobody that's not under NDA) has seen the upgrade disc yet!

I guess there is no OS on the disc that ships with the 51. It's just a companion with all the extra crap on it (outlook, AS, games, etc.)

Since this was the case for previous devices, I was going to make this point yeasterday when I first saw this thread, but I'm not sure it's true with WM5. When you put the CD in after the first instance, it includes an option to "Repair or install critical programs" which makes me think WM5 (or at least quite a bit of it) might be on the CD. Even if it is, I suspect it would take quite bit of effort to get it onto an X50 and even though the hardware is very similar, there may be enough differences that would keep it from working properly.
