**Warning Warning** Medical Gang DO NOT UPGRADE.

Hello...

Just a note to warn you: If you are a Medical Professional who uses Uptodate online (or the accompanying Pocket PC Version...) DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR POCKET PC TO WM5 (Or buy the Axim x51v, for that matter). The software is NOT CURRENTLY FUNCTIONAL. If you depend on this software (as I did...) you will be left hanging for the time being if you take the jump.

I have e-mailed uptodate Technical support.

I would hold off for the moment folks.

This is very problematic for me. Waaaahhhh.
I want my x50v back!!

I would also caution anyone who uses Epocrates (in any version) frequently, as they have been clear they do not support memory card use on PPC's.

They do not support the cards but they work, I run Epocrates off of an SD card, turn off autoupdate, do it manually once a month

Glad I am only a paramedic and don't need all that physician stuff. Just a nice copy of MobileEMS, or now as they call it eMedic. But N E ways, good luck, hope all comes out alright in the end.

I use Epocrates and eMedic on my Axim X51, no problems there. But I'll be adding PktEMT and Special Operations Medical Field Manual when Skyscape adds WM5 functionality.

Uptodate wastes RAM on my x50v, I removed it, it is supposed to go on the card, but installs about 2MB in RAM

As to Epocrates, mine runs fine from BIS, SD or CF

****UPDATE**** There is a patch. You have to call for it. I received the info below via email. Hope this helps!

Dear Sir or Madame

Thank you for contacting UpToDate. Unfortunately Windows mobile 5 was
released at around the same time that version 13.3 was being completed.
After numerous attempts we were unable to get a pre-release of Window's
mobile 5, so we could not test the compatibility of the two. As soon as
we were able to get a copy we realized that our program was not
compatible and our developers created a patch to resolve this issue. We
would be glad to send you the cd patch but we would first need either
your product ID, subscriber ID, or the username for your account.

Sincerely,

Gladymir
